Websites for retail businesses include a variety of elements. For most, this would be: product shots, buy now buttons, secure online payment and an almost constant ability to change items, whether there are new ones for the season, others are discontinued, etc. When thinking about having a retail site, you really have to consider what you want to offer online, if you want online payments and whether or not you have photo product shots or if you are going to need those done also. One example of a site where we produced everything is Retail Packaging Outlet. A majority of the product shots were taken by Mark and then Brooke retouched, cut-out and put together the montages. After the product shots were done, we needed a shopping cart system. Finally after that, we could start laying out the design. In all, there are over 6,800 images and buttons on this site. The buy now buttons alone take up over 1,900 of those. While this project was very large, the end result is easy to navigate, brightly colored and secure. |
